Pelvic Floor
Pelvic floor dysfunction can be very limiting to a person’s function and can be caused by multiple factors. Inspired PT’s therapist will do a comprehensive examination to evaluate the source of your problem and develop a functional based pelvic rehabilitative program aimed at returning you to the highest level of function. They will take the time to explain their findings and the treatment plan they have developed specifically for you. A treatment program for pelvic floor conditions may include:
- Manual therapy
- Modalities
- Bio-Feedback exercises
- ROM/Mobility exercises
- Strengthening/motor control exercises
- Education and home exercise program
Common Diagnoses of the pelvic floor region include:
- Muscle weakness, imbalances, spasms, strains
- Tail bone pain/discomfort
- Low back pain
- Compromise to the anatomical structure due to trauma
- Incontinence
- Uterine/rectal prolapse
